Women's History Month!
Posted On: Mar 07, 2019
In honor of Women's History month, it is with extreme pleasure that we take the time to celebrate the thousands of women that are members of the A.P.W.U. I want to directly express my support to all of those women, both Nationally and Locally, and say thank you for all that you do.

Women have been at the heart of the Labor Movement since its inception. Women have striven for equality among their peers and because of that steady fight for equality, we have women that have excelled to great heights and improved working conditions and the quality of our union.
In the Clerk Craft in Cleveland women make up almost 50%of the workforce. Since 2012, we have converted hundreds locally to place them on a path to a better economic position for themselves and to take care of their families.
In the Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Crafts, women have become a strong force. We have women who have broken through male dominated crafts and been promoted to Level 7 up to E.T.

Working women have struggled and advanced with the support of the labor movement, in most cases, breaking through obstacles and barriers. Their accomplishments have pave an path for future generations to achieve greater heights.
So again, on behalf of the Cleveland Area Local, we thank you for being the Pillar and Ground that we stand on!
